Selwyn’s Seafoods in Swansea has been making seafood products for more than 50 years, with cooked cockles, laverbread and crispy seaweed snacks among the best-known lines. Based at Llanmorlais on Gower, the family business grew from gathering cockles and laver seaweed on the estuary sands to a larger production site on the same coast. Cockles, laverbread and seaweed snacks still run through the business today, with seafood production continuing from the Gower base where the family story began.
